Last day of school semester and start of June holidays...
Hey guys,
I know today is the last day of school... But I guess it doesn't feel like the last day of school since most of you are at home because of the LMS thingy anyway... Also, tomorrow is finally the actual day of the NCDCC Day Parade...
Being the very 1st annual parade organized by NCDCC HQ, you all ought to be proud that a good number of your seniors made it into the parade... Also, gracing the event are 2 very distinguished guests... The 1st is, Commissioner Peter Benedict Lim Sin Pang... For those of you who do not know what his significance is to us, well, lets just put it that he runs our parent organisation, the Singapore Civil Defence Force... So you can say he is the cream of the crop of all Civil Defence Officers in Singapore... The biggest of the big...
The 2nd of our distinguished guests is, Mr Charles Chong, Member of Parliament for Pasir Ris - Punggol GRC... Some of you might ask, why is the Guest Of Honour him??? Well, other than being a Member of Parliament, he is also the Chairman of the Home Team Cadet Corps Council... This Council oversees operations by both NPCC HQ and NCDCC HQ... Without him, all of us would probably still be CCA-less...
These guests are very highly respected people and those that get the honour of forming a parade before him is none other than your seniors, most of whom will be forming the Guard-Of-Honour Contingents... Even those who were earlier in the Supporting Contingents proved worthy of marching as a Guard-Of-Honour, donning their Ceremonial Uniforms... Leading the 2nd Guard-Of-Honour Contingent is CLT Shafiq...
A few outstanding cadets were even pulled into the Flag Party... The Flag Party is a contingent, whose members carry proudly, the Unit flags of all NCDCC Units in Singapore... Bearing the Admiralty NCDCC Service Flag is none other than WO Syikin... WO Shafa, SSG Haziq, SSG Azmi, SSG Aishah and SSG Alif also made it into Flag Party... They will be bearing the Flags of younger Units who lack WOs and SSGs to carry their own flags... Their Unit's pride and honour will be in the hands of your seniors, who show a degree of selflessness for others by bearing other Unit flags...
There is also another group of flags also known as the Flag Party... The only difference is that these flags are at the front of the parade and requires everyone to stand at attention if these flags march past them... They are the National Flag, the Ministry Of Education Co-Curricular Activities Branch Flag, The Singapore Civil Defence Force Service Flag and the National Civil Defence Cadet Corps Service Flag... Bearing and escorting these flags are all CLTs... Yay... Finally we CLTs have a part to play... Bearing the National Civil Defence Cadet Corps Service Flag is CLT Aniq while the Singapore Civil Defence Force Service Flag bearer is me... Finally my position is confirmed... Yay... Hope the parade goes well...
Also during the parade, Admiralty NCDCC Unit will officially receive our Gold Award, recognising us as a Gold Unit... Also at the ceremony, we will witness the promotion of 5 Teacher Officers to the rank of Captain... 1 of these 5 Teacher Officers is Mr Mike Ng, promoting from A/CPT to CPT... It takes 5 years (including 1 year probation) to promote from LTA to CPT... But as OC Unit, Mr Mike was awarded the rank of CPT even before he completed the promotion criteria... Therefore, the rank of A/CPT... Come this Saturday, Mr Mike will be a full-fledged CPT...
Okay... I think my post is long enough... So wish us luck... Hopefully all goes as planned... Will be a grand parade and a very important parade for ADSS NCDCC...
Your Sir,
CLT Suhairi Roslan

Training resumes this Friday, 22nd May 2009
Good Evening people... I have a couple of announcements to make...
Firstly, Weekly Training will resume this Friday, 22nd May 2009 (Woot!!!)... *People cheering in the background* So you guys can stop asking when training will resume alright???
Secondly, I am not sure what the Sec 1s will be doing or the attire so you guys will have to check the Notice Board again in the next few days...
Thirdly, my dear Sec 2s, as promised, I will be taking you guys for training this Friday... No, not training... I will be taking you for a test (Woohoo!!!)... You will be finishing the last part (I think) of your Rescue Modules... Upon completion, we will be able to apply for the Rescue Badges for you, and, 1 step closer towards your Corporal promotion...
Fourthly, my dear Sec 3s, we will be continuing on your Footdrill (Silver) Badge test... I will not be testing you guys (how lucky)... So be sure to have tip-top uniforms...
Fifthly (is there such a word???), NCDCC Day Parade Guards-Of-Honour and remaining Sec 4 cadets, please report on Friday in Half-U(No.1/No.4)... I will brief you guys on the events of the day as I will need your assistance...
Lastly, please be reminded that NOONE is allowed to wear their No.1 Ceremonial Uniforms outside training grounds... It is a criminal offence to do so and anyone caught violating this rule will be dealt with SEVERELY...

Heyyo... I'm bored so I guess I will just update once in a while...
At this point of time, I still have not received anyone asking me for permission to post on this blog... Which is kind of sad... Regardless, I would still like to encourage cadets to take up responsibilities in the Unit... And a good way to start would be to manage this simple blog for the Unit...
Reminder to all Sec 3 and 4 NCDCC Annual Parade 2009 participants, this coming Saturday would be your last Saturday that you can spend sleeping/gaming/whatever you do at home... Please be reminded that training for THIS PARADE ONLY, resumes on the 16th of May... Also be reminded that the parade is drawing close and that the actual day is the 30th of May... 30-16=14 right??? That leaves only 2 weeks for us to train to perfection... Also, in that 2 weeks, those of you in Guard-Of-Honour and Flag Party will draw your No.1 Ceremonial Uniforms (probably one of the days, after school)... So please, try not to absent yourself during these 2 weeks... Since you have already been told, I hope you can keep these 2 weeks free so that you don't have to come up to us telling us you can't make it... And for the benefit of those who still have no idea of what is the No.1 Ceremonial Uniform, here is a rough sketch of it...
Sorry for the poor quality... Needed to do a bit of editing... As a result, it became quite blurred... By now, you should know how the NCDCC No.1 Ceremonial Uniform looks like... So yar... The Guard-Of-Honour and Flag Party will be dressed in this uniform... Nice right???
I'm still wondering what will be my position...
